Celebrating creativity in Ōtaki

Date: 07 September 2026
Category: Feature

Jennifer Turnbull has been welcoming visitors to her Ōtaki studio for more than 20 years, making her one of the Art Trail's long-standing participating artists.

With more than 35 years of ceramic practice, Jennifer creates beautiful porcelain and stoneware inspired by her garden, the surrounding landscape and the native flora of Aotearoa. Visitors can explore her working studio and wander through the large garden that continues to inspire her award-winning work.

After your studio visit, discover more of Ōtaki – enjoy a leisurely lunch, browse local shops and galleries, and take in the coast that inspires so many of the artists who call this place home.
