Anne McLean, who works under the studio name Anne of Reeves, is a printmaker based in Waikanae. Inspired by the natural world, she creates characterful linocut prints featuring animals, landscapes, and people.

Many of Anne's compositions celebrate the warmth and joy found in our connection with the outdoors, capturing everyday moments of delight, from exploring nature to sharing a quiet cuddle with a beloved pet. Her work is infused with a sense of charm, humour, and affection that resonates with viewers of all ages.

Anne is drawn to the nostalgia and authenticity of linocut printing. For her, there is always a moment of anticipation before the first print is pulled and the image is revealed, a moment she describes as pure magic.
