Wow, 25 years of the Art Trail – a milestone we’re proud to celebrate with our community.
From humble beginnings in 2001 with just 26 venues, the Art Trail was an instant hit. Locals and visitors embraced the chance to step inside artists’ studios, hear the stories behind the work, and purchase art in a way that felt personal and meaningful.
Since then, the Art Trail has grown into a vibrant, two-weekend event that now features over 140 artists from Paekākāriki to Ōtaki. And while the scale has changed, the spirit of the Art Trail remains the same – creating space for connection, discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the creative process.
Whether it’s your first time or your fifteenth, we can’t wait for you to experience the magic of the Kāpiti Coast Art Trail this November.
