We’re always proud to bring you a great mix of world class, award-winning artists and new or emerging artists with bright futures ahead of them. Here’s just a snapshot of some recent successes we’re aware of:
Silversmith and jeweller Rebecca Bond in Raumati has been a five-time World of Wearable Art finalist. In the 2023 event, she was runner up in the Bizarre Bra category. Her winning design, called 'Eyes Up Here', was inspired by looking at who people are on the inside rather than judging by appearances. Have a look at this gorgeous photo of her winning entry, kindly supplied by WOW.
Erena Wylie of Kāpiti Art Studio won an IHC art award this year with this stunning ‘Korowai Tui Cloak’. It has 304 feathers made from recycled cut and coloured bicycle tyres.

Lisa Call of Paraparaumu works in fibres, textiles, painting and drawing. She was highly commended in the 2022 Parkin Drawing Prize with a gorgeous golden piece called Aragon (sold). Here’s one of her images from an earlier Art Trail Guide.
You can see all the other award-winning artists on our website or in the Art Trail Guide. They’re marked with a star.
